Five tracks handpicked by Anna Dine that shaped her sophomore single release, “Anymore”.
I’ve always loved how witty and tongue-in-cheek Lily Allen is! I’m also a big fan of her production- it’s always so innovative and detailed and she really experiments with eclectic sounds. ‘Smile’ is one of the many tracks of hers that I’ve loved since childhood and it’s only resonated more with me as I grow older!
Stumbled across this track early in 2025 playing in a Westfield and it has become one of my favourite songs of all time. Parcels are such a beautiful example of innovative Australian music and put on one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen- they are all so passionate about musicianship in such a refined and tasteful way which is so refreshing.
I fell in love with Benee in 2025, especially her new album, which I find incredibly cathartic to listen to. She’s also got incredible stage presence and I love her aesthetic and how she experiments with her visuals and colour. Cinnamon was on repeat this year, with such a beautiful and catchy chorus.
Alfie Templemann, “Stop Thinking (About Me)”.
One of favourite songs of all time! Alfie is the cornerstone of beautiful indie production and songwriting in my opinion! Such cool production and sick guitar tones in this one.
Two Door Cinema Club, ‘Are We Ready? (Wreck) “.
An iconic track off of my favourite album of all time and by my favourite band of all time! Incorporates the iconic Two Door melodic guitar work while taking production risks creating such a well crafted and nuanced sound, along with some really insightful social critique in the lyrics.
