For Shazvero, music is a mirror—reflecting the messy, honest, sometimes playful reality of being human. From deeply personal lessons to lighthearted confessions, her songwriting embraces the full emotional spectrum.
Your music feels very personal and relatable. Where do the messages in your songs usually come from?
A lot of the message I try to portray in my music comes from personal experiences. I want people to be able to relate to it.
A lot of my songs talk about letting go of things that aren’t good for you—things that have a negative impact on your life.
There’s also a lighter, almost playful side to your songwriting.
Yeah, definitely. I also have some really kind of childish songs—more like, I really want him, why won’t he be with me, why am I not enough? Those kind of silly thoughts.
But the main message is that we’re all human. We all have feelings, and we need to express those feelings. That’s really important to me.
That balance between vulnerability and honesty really connects. You also have a gig coming up soon—tell us about that.
Yeah, I’ve got a show coming up on June 5th. The lineup includes Malika Timba, King Drip, and Polly Pop-Up—they’re all really great artists.
That sounds like a strong lineup. How much are tickets?
Tickets are $15, but they’ll be $20 at the door, so definitely grab them early.
Good to know. Sounds like one not to miss. Thanks so much for chatting with I Don’t Blame You Media!
